About Me Hi, I’m Elizabeth! I’m a blogger, creative writer, author, musician, environmental activist, and a mom of four. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1997). I have worked as a tutor, secretary, medical transcriptionist, daycare worker, and most importantly, as a mother. I was diagnosed with and overcame a diagnosis of stage IV breast cancer in 2003, and believe in the strong connection between the body, mind and spirit. I have fought depression since the age of about 9 years old, and am also a CPTSD survivor. I have a wealth of experience that has taught me a lot about myself, the world, and my place in it. I enjoy writing to clear my mind and use it as a safe form of expression, a critical need for me as I deal with the challenges of everyday life. My favorite forms of creative writing include poems, prose, and stories ranging in length and depth from a hundred words to thousands. I truly enjoy helping those around me, and live to serve God and those He has put in my life and in my path. As someone who is born-again and chooses to follow Christ, my experiences have put an unusual twist on my belief system. I am the author of “The Gift of a Rose: Witness to a Transformation” (AuthorHouse, 2004), a book I am currently resubmitting this year, to be ready this fall for purchase. I am also working on a creative literature compilation over the last twenty years called “Life, Rewritten,” that is due to be published by the end of 2024. A book called “Like Mercury,” a 30-day devotional, will be published in the early part of 2025. So many exciting things to work on. Life has never been more full for me.
